Welcome to the Ministers of Hospitality
A Warm and Welcoming Community
At Divine Mercy Parish, located within the majestic walls of Lambs Road Tudor Cathedral, we believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who steps foot in our church. Our Ministers of Hospitality play a crucial role in ensuring that every individual feels valued and embraced as part of our faith community.
The Importance of Hospitality
Hospitality is not just a mere act of politeness; it is a profound expression of our shared belief in the inclusivity and love encompassed by our faith. Through the practice of radical hospitality, we strive to cultivate an atmosphere where all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, can experience a sense of belonging and acceptance.
Creating a Welcoming Space
Our ministers are responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere within our church. They ensure that every visitor, from long-time parishioners to first-time guests, feels comfortable and engaged during their time with us. With a friendly smile, they greet individuals at the entrance, offering a helping hand and providing any necessary guidance or assistance.
Our Ministers of Hospitality are there to answer questions, assist with seating arrangements, and offer directions to various areas within the cathedral. They also assist in coordinating special events, such as weddings, baptisms, and other sacraments. Through their dedication and unwavering commitment, these ministers foster a sense of joy, tranquility, and spiritual fulfillment within our faith community.
Embracing Diversity
At Divine Mercy Parish, we celebrate the richness of our diverse community. Our Ministers of Hospitality embrace this diversity by being culturally sensitive, welcoming individuals from all walks of life. They understand the significance of inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels accepted and valued, regardless of their age, race, ethnicity, or socio-economic background.
Our ministers actively engage in activities that foster unity, such as multicultural events, interfaith dialogues, and community outreach programs. Through their compassionate approach, they create a safe and welcoming space for all to share their stories, learn from one another, and grow spiritually.
Join the Ministry
If you are passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment, then we invite you to join our Ministers of Hospitality. Whether you have years of experience or are just starting your faith journey, your contribution is invaluable to our community.

Requirements and Training
While prior experience is not necessary, we do require our Ministers of Hospitality to commit to a brief training program. This program equips individuals with the necessary skills to welcome and assist visitors effectively.
The training covers topics such as effective communication, cultural sensitivity, conflict resolution, and the understanding of various liturgical practices. The aim is to empower our ministers with the tools they need to create a truly welcoming environment.
